Technical Tips

WOJB's radio signal stream runs through a server that is off site from the radio station. That means when the computer system controlling our radio signal over the internet goes off line for what ever technical problem, it will take some time (a few hours to a day or two) to notify technicians, and have them remedy the problem.

At this point in time, WOJB's expenses to run through the internet 'pipeline' is a donated service. However, WOJB is not the primary purpose on this network. Those technicians have to keep another main network up and running too. So, the technicians get to our problem as soon as possible.

WOJB is located in a rural area with much fewer options to get our radio signal into the internet pipeline that can accomodate a decent speed for quality audio sound. And WOJB certainly appreciates the technicians who donate their time to make our signal accessable to you as much as possible. We hope you do too.

In the meantime, we reallly appreciate your patience and persistance to listen to WOJB online.

PS: WOJB uses the broadcast program from Real Audio to stream our signal. You must have at least version 8 of Real Audio Player (Basic) or better to get the signal to play on your computer system. Also, the message of file outdated or wrong file are just generalized error messages that Real Audio technicians set in place. Unless your player is an older version than 8, you can most likely deduct that the station's server is actually offline, and that's why your player can't find our streaming file.
