We'll spend the afternoon ripping through our favorite three-chord burners from the early 60's to the present. Jeff's garage is big and messy, crammed to the rafters with rockabilly, surf, British invasion, psychedelia, glam, proto-punk, punk and even a little insurgent country thrown into the mix. The common thread is ragged, rebellious and somewhat reckless attitude that has driven generation of parents and other authority figures to distraction.

Each Afropop program features a visit abroad, a live performance, or a mix of recent studio recordings and interviews with featured artists.

10AM TO 12NOON - MORNING FIRE a two hour public affairs program featuring national regional and local Native issues, Tribal School News, and telephone interviews with Native leaders, elders, and youth sharing information about the events in their communities. Hosted by Jeff St. Germaine.

12NOON TO 1PM - EARTH SONGS is a weekly music program featuring contemporary native music from artists such as Robbie Robertson, Indigenous, Bill Miller, Murray Porter, Joanne Shenandoah, and Robert Mirabel. The program is produced by Koahnic Broadcast Corporation, provided by Native Voice One.

1PM TO 5PM - SPICE OF LIFE MUSIC Hosted by a variety of volunteers and staff, who are dedicated to playing everything from Bluegrass, Jazz, Rock’n’Roll, Blues, Country, and Native music for your listening pleasure; Join Shirley Armstrong, Sue Menzel, Captain Desultory, or Jim Babbitt for a great mix of music. Remember, variety is the Spice of Life!

5PM TO 7PM - MOUNTAIN STAGE Live performance by musical guests such as Shemekia Copeland, Ani DiFranco, John Trudell. Hosted by Larry Groce every Saturday beginning at 5PM.

7PM TO 7:15PM - Northland Jamboree a fifteen minute Bluegrass program featuring live performances.

7:30PM TO 12MIDNITE - HONKY TONK is classic country tunes. This popular program is hosted by “Country Dave” & Nicky Kellar as hosts of Honky-Tonk. Tune is for the best, gosh darn country music of the northwoods.

11AM TO 11:30AM - TIME OF USEFUL CONCIOUSNESS better known as TUC RADIO is a weekly Public Affairs Program on Globalization, local resistance, the Environment and Native Nations. TUS Radio's unique focus on Globalization includes information on GATT, the WTO, the MAI, biotechnology, patenting of seeds and genetic material and their impact on our lives and on the earth.
